ABCs of Self Nurture for Caregivers

May we never tire of doing what is good and right before our Lord because in His season we shall bring in a great harvest if we can just persist. Galatians 6:9 (Voice)

Are you a caregiver? Then you need to take time every day to care for your own needs. Research from the Family Caregiver Alliance has shown that family caregivers are less likely than non-caregivers to practice preventive healthcare and self-care behavior. You need to take care of yourself physically, emotionally and spiritually. The good news is that as you do this, the ones you care for will benefit as well. This series is a part of the free #Write31Days challenge.

Here's your self nurture tips for each day:

Day 20: T - Take breaks consistently
Day 22: V - Vacation
Day 23: W - Wear a smile
Day 24: X - eXercise every day
Day 25: Y - Say YES to what you love
Day 26: Z - Zoom in on positive outcomes
Day 27: Guest post
Day 28: Guest post
Day 29: Guest post
Day 30: Guest post
Day 31: Chance to join book launch for The Power of Hope for Caregivers: Honor the Ride

Karen Sebastian-Wirth has, over the years, lovingly cared for her mother-in-love, mother, father and husband. She certainly has learned the lessons of hope in what can become a treacherous ride over some rough waters. You will enjoy her candid approach and practical ways to take care of yourself first. Her new book The Power of Hope for Caregivers: Honor the Ride will be released in November, 2017.

Author, speaker, corporate trainer, ordained minister and Hope Catalyst, Karen Sebastian enjoys sharing her rich life experiences with others – engaging them in adventurous discoveries of the beauty of hope in a dark, cloudy world. Her books will inspire you to embrace hope no matter what you are going through. To increase hope and improve relationships with yourself and those that you love, sign up to receive Karen's emails.
