We all experience times of testing, which is normal for every human being. But God will be faithful to you. He will screen and filter the severity, nature, and timing of every test or trial you face so that you can bear it. And each test is an opportunity to trust him more, for along with every trial God has provided for you a way of escape that will bring you out of it victoriously. 1 Corinthians 10:13

No words can adequately describe the overwhelming feeling of becoming a widow.
My life changed with one phone call. I could never go back to what I had before.
Death seems so final.
And it is in so many ways. It can feel like you are just stuck with the way things are and there is nothing you can do about it.
One of the worst things about being stuck in a dark place you did not choose is that those who find death to be an uncomfortable topic tend to spout platitudes rather than simply showing they care.
I love the last part of this verse in The Passion Translation – “And each test is an opportunity to trust him more.” I have learned to trust in ways I never would have even thought of trusting. I have seen miracles of provision.
I can say that you never are stuck. You always have a choice. It simply takes trust and time.
Take a deep breath. What feels like a dark box is actually a place to rest and trust.
When you emerge from the cocoon you will fly and delight many with your beauty.
